Hallelujah (He Reigns in Majesty) is a declaration of courage, faith, community, and joy, inspired by the historical account of Jericho in the book of Joshua.
Scored for unaccompanied SATB + percussion, it features driving rhythm, syncopation, and independent vocal lines. A frame drum, djembe, or other drum may be used if a concert bass drum is not available; the drum should be played with precision, dignity, and strength, however never overpowering the voices.
